I’ve heard it said that “life is easier when you’re pretty.” And while I can go on and make anecdotes about how that isn’t true, I’m here today to say that it is true. People tend to treat someone better when they think they are attractive. So what does it mean to be pretty?
Its quite simple in my opinion.
Just. Be. Good. You attract what you put out. You get what you give. You reap what you sow. However ya wanna put it. They call it the “Law of Attraction”, but it’s common sense if you ask me.
Here’s the catch, being good doesn’t always mean being “nice”. Or “behaving.”
It means being good to yourself and being good to others. Truly good.
This can mean sleeping in when you need to, giving a hug, being there for others even when it’s inconvenient. Saying a prayer for someone. Giving yourself a day off. Giving someone a compliment. Waking up early and eating a proper, real breakfast. Saying no to things. Talking about things you love instead of ranting about things you hate. Things that make you feel good inside.
Some things that make me feel good are waking up when it’s still crisp and a little dark outside (although I haven’t been doing that lately), doing yoga, sitting down and drinking my coffee, having real conversations with strangers (it isn’t hard, try it next time you get groceries) , holding doors open for people, the afternoon sun, and lunch dates with friends.
Whatever “being good” looks like for you, if you feel pretty on the inside, that beauty will emanate out. I promise. So yes, life is easier when you’re pretty, because life is better when you feel and do good.
